Tavola is an emporium dedicated to the table. A neighbourhood gem with freshly cooked food, seasonal produce, gourmet ingredients and tempting tableware. Established in 2002 by Sharon and Alastair Little and situated just a short stroll from Notting Hill’s famous Portobello Road.

What are we about?

It’s simple, we are passionate about food, it’s in our blood and over the last 13 years we’ve put our heart and soul into making Tavola the destination for those who know and love good food.

Best in season

We use premium quality produce in our cooking, and only in season. The reason for this is quite simple: it tastes better. A strawberry which has been grown in a hothouse or shipped halfway around the world in December is frankly tasteless. Produce eaten at the time nature intended, exudes the best flavour and taste.

Best quality

Our store cupboard is stocked with great ingredients and products chosen for their quality and taste. We buy mainly from artisan producers who care about quality as much as we do. From single estate olive oils, to handmade biscuits, everything we sell is chosen because it is simply delicious.

Convenience

Whether you are too tired to cook for the family, or are having a posh dinner party, Tavola can do it for you. We will help you choose your food and wine menu and then cook it for you, leaving you to get on with the serious business of enjoying yourself. (we can even advise on your table setting if required)
