It's AGM day, folks.

The opportunity to ask penetrating questions about the exact nature of "other" miscellaneous sundry expenses, for example.

Seriously and more importantly, the revised rules and governance are up for the vote this evening and I believe those are very important for the club. I shall be there to cast my vote in favour.

.....and the best bit of news was Our Club has got 2.5m in cash reserves for a new indoor school and an outground we can call our own. However approachable the new managment at Lords and trustees at grounds like Southgate and Uxbridge are, there will always be a paternalistic/landlord engagement from them. Speaking to one of the committee members at the party after whose involved, progress is going well; a good time for us and the Club in these times to invest for the future.

Agree WDK: the news on the outground and indoor school were encouraging. As per IL's overview listing: we are in danger of being left behind by other counties, who are able to generate revenue throughout the year: which we at present, cannot.

According to the Treasurer last night, DICK Nannes played for Middx in 2008!

A very poor show by George Norris. If only Dirk was playing for us in 2009.

Indeed - he made a right dirk of himself.

For those of you who wondered why we did not report the AGM, might I remind you that AGM's are embargoed subject to official press release.

That official release was made today:

AGM Official News

I would say that the official report is true, fair and acurate.

I'm personally thrilled that the changes to the rules and governance went through.

It's public knowledge now, so discuss away!!

Good to see Parfitt on board - one of my boyhood heroes. I had gained the impression that he wasn't close to the club any more.
